Do I have to be an experienced camper?
What if I don’t know anybody?
What if there’s an emergency at home?
We will have a way for your loved ones to reach you (and for you to reach them), but please be cognizant of what a true emergency is.
What do I eat?
Lunch is provided by Iron Forge Man Camp on Saturday! All other meals/snacks are on you! Freeze Dried meals from companies like Mountain House provide a quick meal, calories and mediocre taste. Bring food for yourself or many guys like to coordinate on bringing a community meal of steaks, burgers, stir fry veggies, fried potatoes, eggs, etc. Talk to your buddy about doing a meal together if you choose. Camp fires and grates will be available to cook over the fire and there is nothing better than the taste of food cooked over an open flame! Great snacks include beef jerky, trail mix with nuts, fruit and chocolate, protein bars or whatever you feel like bringing.
I don’t really go to church, can I still come?
What time do I need to be there on Friday?
4:30pm-6:30pm – Late arrivals are heavily frowned upon and don’t make for a great start to the experience.
How long is it?
It is 48 hours off the grid. This means you’ll have 48 hours of peace & quiet! It’s as great as it sounds!
What if I have to leave early?
Then you’re going to be sad you missed out! Men commit. It will be worth it. Don’t look for excuses or find ways to get out of it. Find ways to stay engaged and get the most from the experience. You’ll be glad you did.
What if it rains?
You’ll get wet. Plan accordingly.
Can I register for my friends?
Can I bring a group from my church or men’s ministry?
Absolutely!
Where do I poop?
Well, that’s a great question Gregg! We are on 130 acres and it’s a great feeling of accomplishment to dig a hole and fill it up in the woods! Just be sure to cover it up when you’re done! For those of you less adventurous, there are two nice restrooms available on the property with real toilets and running water to wash your hands. There will also be port-a-potties available for use on the property as well. Either way, we got you covered!
